You are invited to a special event. THIS Sunday, October 11, I am hosting a Forest Park “Trail Launch.”

“What is a Trail Launch?” you ask. Good question. It’s basically a book launch party, COVID-style.

Rather than celebrate the release of “Forest Park: A Walk Through History” in the traditional way, I am planning a modified book launch event.

You are invited to the picnic tables behind the Dennis & Judith Jones Visitor & Education Center in Forest Park any time between 10am-2pm on 10/11. You’re welcome to purchase a copy of “Forest Park: A Walk Through History” and then set out on the trail right there in Forest Park!

Each purchase comes with mini wrapped granola bars to take with you on your journey.

Nervous to start your trek on your own? Never fear! Discover STL Tours will be navigating the walks for you at 10:30 and 12:00. For $35 you get a copy of the book along with a 1.5-2 hour guided tour with the pros from Discover STL Tours. A tour without a book is $20 per person. Check out more info HERE.

Can’t make it Sunday? Discover STL Tours is hosting Forest Park walks throughout the months of October and November. You can sign up and learn more HERE.

Of course, SAFETY is the highest priority, always. Masks are required for the event and social distancing is encouraged. This is not meant to be a party where people mingle, but rather an opportunity to get outside, check out the book and explore Forest Park.

It’s supposed to be a beautiful weekend and the leaves are changing. I hope you get the chance to get outside and enjoy it in our own Forest Park! See you out there!

Learn tips and tricks for exploring Forest Park at a St. Charles City-County Library presentation.

Learn how to explore Forest Park through Forest Park: A Walk Through History during this evening library presentation.

Take a guided walk through Forest Park with the author of a new book, “Forest Park: A Walk Through History.” Mueller will tell you about her favorite Forest Park spots and memories as you visit some spots highlighted in the book. Meet at the Forest Park Visitor Center, then journey into the park. Books available for signing and purchase.
